Menaria, Yagnik would be star attraction of JPL

Briefing about the tournament the president of the JDCA Dr. Bimal Soni said that there would be six teams in fray and the tournament would be played on the lines of IPL.

"Former India Under-19 captain Ashok Menaria and other IPL stars like Dishant Yagnik and Pankaj Singh would also be seen action in the JPL which will be held from July 7th to 15th," he said.

"The six teams viz Mustang, Panthers, Tigers, Kangaroos, Rhinos and Lions would represent different parts of the desert state. Each team would be assigned an icon player and comprise 12 players including six state level players," he added.

 

The secretary of the JDCA Mohammad Iqbal said that it was a good opportunity for the state players.

"We had organized the JPL earlier but it was on a smaller scale. This time the canvas is bigger and the franchise have come up in big way. We will extend all help for this Rajasthan Cricket Association approved tournament," he said.
