A mentally challenged person, who claimed to be a Chinese national, was held from a village in Anjar taluka of Kutch district in Gujarat today, an official said.
"A man aged around 30 who has Mongolian features was today handed over to police by villagers in Ratnal village of Anjar taluka in Kutch district," Border Range IG A K Jadeja told PTI.
"The man seems like a mentally challenged person, who could not understand our language nor he speaks properly, but when we showed him a world-map, he put his finger on China," Jadeja added.

Meanwhile, police is trying to find an interpreter to know what he wants to say and from where he is, Jadeja said.
There is a probability that some Chinese ship might have arrived at some port in Kutch and he might have got down here and got stuck here, he said.
Jadeja further said that the man was found injured by villagers of Ratnal sometime in June, and was later admitted to a local hospital and as his health condition improved, he was today handed over to police.
The police is investigating into the case, he added.
