Two young girls lost their lives when a mentha (mint) boiling tank burst in Safipur village here, police said today.
A police spokesperson said the incident took place late on Thursday night when Dimple Verma (13) and Laadli (10) came within the range of the exploding mentha tank.
Damaged parts of the tank were thrown almost 30 feet away, he said.
"Both the girls sustained severe burn injuries. They were rushed to a private hospital in Lucknow where they succumbed to injuries," the spokesperson added.
