Continuing its losing streak for the third day, mentha oil prices fell by another 0.58 per cent to Rs 923.10 per kg in futures market today as participants engaged in trimming their positions, taking negative cues from spot market on low demand from consuming industries.

At the Multi Commodity Exchange, mentha oil for delivery in April declined by Rs 5.40, or 0.58 per cent, to Rs 923.10 per kg, in a business turnover of 44 lots.

On similar lines, the oil for delivery in May was trading lower by Rs 5.20, or 0.55 per cent, to Rs 933.80 per kg in 99 lots.

Analysts said offloading of positions by traders, driven by sluggish demand from consuming industries against ample stocks position mainly kept mentha oil prices lower at futures trade.
