Amid profit-booking by speculators and subdued spot demand, mentha oil prices fell by 0.25 per cent to Rs 866.90 per kg in futures trade today.
At the Multi Commodity Exchange, mentha oil for delivery in this month fell Rs 2.20, or 0.25 per cent, to Rs 866.90 per kg, with a business volume of 75 lots.
Also, mentha oil for June delivery eased by Rs 1.60, or 0.18 per cent, to Rs 867.60 per kg, with a business turnover of 153 lots.
The fall in mentha oil prices at futures trade was mostly due to profit-booking by speculators and weak trend at spot market on subdued demand, marketmen said.
