Amid profit-booking by speculators and subdued spot demand, mentha oil prices fell by 0.52 per cent to Rs 892.60 per kg in futures trade today.
At the Multi Commodity Exchange, mentha oil for delivery in August fell Rs 4.70, or 0.52 per cent, to Rs 892.60 per kg, with a business volume of 504 lots.
Also, mentha oil for September delivery drifted by Rs 2.20, or 0.24 per cent, to Rs 906 per kg, with a business turnover of 106 lots.
The fall in mentha oil prices at futures trade was mostly due to profit-booking by speculators and weak trend at spot market on subdued demand, marketmen said.
