Mentha oil prices fell 0.81 per cent to Rs 843.50 per kg in futures trade today as traders trimmed their positions, triggered by easing demand from consuming industries in the spot market.

Besides, adequate stocks position on the back of rising arrivals from producing belts kept pressure on mentha oil.

At the Multi Commodity Exchange, mentha oil for delivery in June fell Rs 6.90 or 0.81 per cent to Rs 843.50 per kg in a business turnover of 302 lots.

The oil for delivery in July traded lower by Rs 6.90 or 0.80 per cent to Rs 853.60 per kg in 101 lots.

Analysts said offloading of positions by participants amid muted demand from consuming industries in the spot market against ample stocks position mainly kept mentha oil prices down at futures trade.
