In restricted activity, menthol prices firmed up by Rs 5 per kg at the local chemical market in the national capital today following rising demand from consuming industries.
However, other chemicals held steady in thin trade.
Traders said besides pick up in demand from consuming industries, fall in supplies from producing belts mainly helped menthol prices to trade higher.
Menthol crystal bold, flake and oil prices were up by Rs 5 each to Rs 1,075, Rs 1,025 and Rs 950 per kg, respectively.
