Amid ample stocks at the spot markets, mentha oil prices fell further by 0.30 per cent to Rs 861.10 per kg in futures trade today as participants indulged in reducing their bets.

At the Multi Commodity Exchange, mentha oil for delivery in May month eased by Rs 2.60, or 0.30 per cent to Rs 861.10 per kg in business turnover of 191 lots.

On similar lines, the oil for delivery in far-month June contracts traded lower by Rs 2.10, or 0.24 per cent to Rs 868 per kg in 37 lots.

Analysts said offloading of positions by traders, driven by ample stocks on higher supplies from producing regions in the physical market against low demand kept mentha oil prices lower at futures trade.
