Mentha oil up 0.3% on strong demand

Analysts said besides increased domestic and export demand, restricted arrivals from Chandausi in Uttar Pradesh mainly kept mentha oil prices up

Mentha oil extended gains for the third straight day and prices were up 0.35% to Rs 953.50 per kg in futures market today on strong domestic as well as export demand.

Besides, tight stocks position following restricted arrivals from Chandausi in Uttar Pradesh also supported the upswing.

At the Multi Commodity Exchange, mentha oil for delivery in April advanced by Rs 3, or 0.35%, to Rs 953.50 per kg in a business turnover of 428 lots.

Similarly, the oil for delivery in May traded higher by Rs 2.70, or 0.31%, to Rs 864.90 per kg in 122 lots.

Analysts said besides increased domestic and export demand, restricted arrivals from Chandausi in Uttar Pradesh mainly kept mentha oil prices up for the third day at futures trade.
