Speculators booked profits amid subdued spot demand

Mentha oil falls by 0.4% on profit-booking

Press Trust of India New Delhi
Mentha oil prices fell by Rs 3.50, 0.38%, to Rs 906.60 per kg in futures trade today as speculators booked profits amid subdued spot demand.

At the Multi Commodity Exchange, mentha oil for delivery in March fell by Rs 3.50 or 0.38% to Rs 906.60 per kg with a business volume of 18 lots.

Similarly, mentha oil for current month delivery traded down by Rs 3.40 or 0.37% to Rs 896.10 per kg with a business turnover of 227 lots.

The fall in mentha oil prices at futures trade was mostly due to profit-booking by speculators and weak trend at spot market on subdued demand, marketmen said.
