Mentha oil prices fell by Rs 5.70, 0.61 per cent, to Rs 918 per kg in futures trade today as speculators booked profits amid subdued spot demand.
At the Multi Commodity Exchange, mentha oil for delivery in August fell by Rs 5.70 or 0.61 per cent to Rs 918 per kg with a business volume of 876 lots.
Similarly, mentha oil for current month delivery traded down by Rs 2.90 or 0.31 per cent to Rs 908.60 per kg with a business turnover of 57 lots.
The fall in mentha oil prices at futures trade was mostly due to profit-booking by speculators and weak trend at spot market on subdued demand, marketmen said.
