Mentha oil prices fell by 1.79 per cent to Rs 709.80 per kg in futures trade today as speculators booked profits amid subdued spot demand.
At the Multi Commodity Exchange, mentha oil for delivery in December fell by Rs 13, or 1.79 per cent, to Rs 709.80 per kg, with a business volume of 501 lots.
Similarly, mentha oil prices for January 2015 delivery drifted by Rs 12.50, or 1.70 per cent, to Rs 721.20 per kg, with a business turnover of 1,023 lots.
The fall in mentha oil prices at futures trade was mostly due to profit-booking by speculators and weak trend at spot market on subdued demand.
