Supported by strong domestic demand, mentha oil prices climbed 1.10% to Rs 856.40 per kg in futures market today as speculators created fresh positions.

At the Multi Commodity Exchange, mentha oil for delivery in March shot up by Rs 9.30, or 1.10%, to Rs 856.40 per kg in business turnover of 576 lots.

Similarly, the oil for delivery in April contract moved up by Rs 8.90, or 1.04% to Rs 865.50 per kg in 137 lots.
