Mentha oil declines by 0.2% on profit-booking

Sluggish demand from consuming industries also affected prices

Press Trust of India New Delhi
Mentha oil prices fell by 0.22% to Rs 773 per kg in futures trade today amid profit-booking by speculators at existing levels.

At the Multi Commodity Exchange, mentha oil for delivery in March fell by Rs 1.70, or 0.22%, to Rs 773 per kg in a business turnover of 268 lots.

Likewise, the oil for delivery in February shed Rs 1.20, or 0.16%, to Rs 763.30 per kg in 134 lots.

The fall in mentha oil prices at futures trade was mostly due to profit-booking by speculators at prevailing levels amidst sluggish demand from consuming industries in the spot market, analysts said.
