Speculators reduced positions amid sluggish demand from consuming industries in spot markets

Press Trust of India New Delhi
Mentha oil prices fell by 0.26% to Rs 733 per kg in futures trading today as speculators reduced positions amid sluggish demand from consuming industries in spot markets.

At the Multi Commodity Exchange market, mentha oil for delivery in January fell by Rs 1.90, or 0.26%, to Rs 733 per kg in a business turnover of 41 lots.

Similarly, the oil for February contracts traded lower by Rs 1.80, or 0.24%, to Rs 743.60 per kg in 84 lots.

Analysts said offloading of positions by speculators amid low demand from consuming industries in spot markets mainly weighed on mentha oil prices at futures trade.
