Mentha oil declines by 0.3% on profit-booking

Sluggish demand in the spot market also affected prices

Mentha oil declines by 0.3% on profit-booking

Press Trust of India New Delhi
Mentha oil prices drifted 0.31% to Rs 815 per kg in futures trading today as traders booked profits, triggered by sluggish demand in the spot market.

At the Multi Commodity Exchange, mentha oil for delivery in May month fell by Rs 2.50, or 0.31% to Rs 815 per kg in business turnover of 6 lots.

Similarly, mentha oil for delivery in April contracts traded lower by Rs 2, or 0.25% to Rs 805 per kg in 63 lots.

Market analysts said besides profit-booking by participants, easing demand from consuming industries in the spot market against adequate stocks position led to the fall in mentha oil prices at futures trade.
