Press Trust of India New Delhi
Mentha oil prices were down by 0.56% to Rs 727.90 per kg in futures market as speculators reduced their positions amidst weak demand from consuming industries in spot market.

Besides, adequate stocks position in spot markets on increased supplies from producing belts further fuelled the downtrend.

At the Multi Commodity Exchange market, mentha oil for delivery in January month traded lower by Rs 4.10, or 0.56% to Rs 727.90 per kg in business turnover of 244 lots.

Similarly, the oil for delivery in February contract declined by Rs 3.90, or 0.53% to Rs 738.70 per kg in 16 lots.

Analysts said speculators offloaded positions on the back of sluggish demand from consuming industries in the spot market mainly led to the fall in mentha oil prices at futures trade.
