Mentha oil declines by 0.9% on weak demand

Higher supplies from producing regions also affected prices

Mentha oil declines by 0.9% on weak demand

Press Trust of India New Delhi
Mentha oil prices eased by 0.87% to Rs 925 per kg in futures market today due to weak demand from consuming industries in the spot markets against higher supplies from producing regions.

At the Multi Commodity Exchange, mentha oil for delivery in December declined Rs 8.20, or 0.87%, to Rs 925 per kg in a business turnover of 155 lots.

Similarly, the oil for delivery in November traded lower by Rs 8, or 0.86%, to Rs 911.80 per kg in 482 lots.

Analysts said besides weak demand from consuming industries in the spot markets, higher supplies from Chandausi in Uttar Pradesh mainly influenced mentha oil prices at futures trade.
