Speculators indulged in reducing positions, tracking a weak trend at spot market on falling demand

Press Trust of India New Delhi
Mentha oil prices fell further by 0.43% to Rs 935 per kg in futures trade today as speculators indulged in reducing positions, tracking a weak trend at spot market on falling demand.

At the Multi Commodity Exchange, mentha oil for delivery in July eased by Rs 4, or 0.43% to Rs 935 per kg in business turnover of 266 lots.

In a similar fashion, the oil for delivery in July traded lower by Rs 3.60, or 0.38% to Rs 949.50 per kg in 414 lots.

Analysts said apart from weak trend at spot market on subdued demand from consuming industries, ample stocks on higher supplies from producing belts mainly kept pressure on mentha oil prices at futures trade.
