Mentha oil prices fel by 0.33 per cent to Rs 751.30 per kg in futures trading today as speculators reduced positions, triggered by higher supplies from producing regions against weak spot demand.

At the Multi Commodity Exchange, mentha oil for delivery August declined by Rs 2.50, or 0.33 per cent to Rs 751.30 per kg in business turnover of 64 lots.

Similarly, the oil for delivery in July contract traded lower by Re 1, or 0.14 per cent to Rs 737.80 per kg in 464 lots.

Marketmen attributed the fall in mentha oil futures to offloading of positions by speculators owing to subdued demand from consuming industries in the spot market.
