Supported by rising demand from consuming industries and restricted supplies from producing regions, mentha oil rose for the third day by gaining 0.11 per cent to Rs 884.50 per kg in futures trade today.
At the Multi Commodity Exchange, mentha oil for delivery in September edged up by Re 1, or 0.11 per cent to Rs 884.50 per kg in a business turnover of 18 lots.
Likewise, the oil for delivery in October traded higher by 60 paise, or 0.07 to Rs 895 per kg in 2 lots.
Analysts said participants indulged in building up of fresh positions due to increased demand from consuming industries in the spot market against tight stocks position on fall in supplies from Chandausi kept mentha oil prices higher at futures trade.
