Press Trust of India New Delhi
Continuing its gaining streak for the third-straight day, mentha oil prices added 0.65% to Rs 840.90 per kg in futures trade today as speculators enlarged positions amid rising demand from consuming industries in the spot market.

Further, restricted arrivals from Chandausi in Uttar Pradesh also supported the uptrend.

At the Multi Commodity Exchange, mentha oil for delivery in May added Rs 5.40, or 0.65%, to Rs 840.90 per kg in business turnover of 142 lots.

In a similar fashion, the oil for delivery in June contract gained Rs 5.30, or 0.63% to Rs 850 per kg in 22 lots.

Analysts said besides rising demand from consuming industries, limited arrivals from producing regions kept mentha oil prices higher at futures trade.
