Mentha oil prices fell further by 1.12% to Rs 1,033.20 per kg in futures trade today, extending its yesterday's slide as speculators indulged in reducing their positions, triggered by easing demand from consuming industries in the spot market.

Also, rising supplies from growing regions kept pressure on mentha oil.

At Multi Commodity Exchange, mentha oil for delivery in July month eased by Rs 11.70, or 1.12% to Rs 1,033.20 per kg in business turnover of 411 lots.

Similarly, the oil for delivery in August contracts moved down by Rs 11.10, or 1.05% to Rs 1,051.00 per kg in 110 lots.

Analysts said besides slackened demand from consuming industries in the spot market, increased arrivals from producing regions kept mentha oil prices lower at futures trade.
