Mentha oil falls by 0.4% on sluggish demand

Adequate supplies from producing regions also affected prices

Press Trust of India New Delhi
Mentha oil prices fell by 0.44% to Rs 753 per kg in futures trade today amid sluggish demand from consuming industries in spot market and adequate supplies from producing regions.

At the Multi Commodity Exchange, mentha oil for delivery in March declined by Rs 3.40, or 0.44%, to Rs 753 per kg in a business turnover of 76 lots.

Likewise, the oil for delivery in February shed Rs 3, or 0.40%, to Rs 742.60 per kg in 135 lots.

Analysts attributed the fall in mentha oil futures to sluggish demand from consuming industries in the spot market against adequate supplies from Chandausi in Uttar Pradesh.
