Mentha oil falls by 1.1% on profit-booking

Sluggish domestic demand at the spot market also affected prices

Press Trust of India New Delhi
Mentha oil prices traded lower by 1.10% to Rs 816.50 per kg in futures trade today amid profit-booking by speculators at prevailing levels and sluggish domestic demand.

At Multi Commodity Exchange, mentha oil for delivery in March shed Rs 9.10, or 1.10% to Rs 816.50 per kg in business turnover of 114 lots.

Similarly, the oil for delivery in April contracts traded lower by Rs 8.30, or 0.98%, to Rs 826.60 per kg in 386 lots.

Analysts attributed the fall in mentha oil futures to profit-booking by speculators at existing levels and subdued demand from consuming industries in the spot market.
