Press Trust of India New Delhi
Mentha oil fell 1.41% to Rs 737.50 per kg in futures trade today after speculators offloaded their positions, triggered by subdued demand in spot markets.

Besides, adequate stocks position on increased supplies from producing belts also put pressure on mentha oil.

At the Multi Commodity Exchange market, mentha oil for delivery in January month eased by Rs 10.60, or 1.41% to Rs 737.50 per kg in business turnover of 414 lots.

In a similar fashion, the oil for delivery in February contracts shed Rs 8.20, or 1.08% to Rs 750.40 per kg in 158 lots.

Analysts said offloading of positions by speculators amid subdued demand from consuming industries in the spot markets mainly kept pressure on mentha oil prices at futures trade.
