Mentha oil up by 0.5% on rising demand

Tight stocks position on restricted supplies from major producing regions also fulled the uptrend

Mentha oil up by 0.5% on rising demand

Mentha oil prices strengthened by 0.49% to Rs 836.80 per kg in futures market today as traders enlarged positions, tracking a firm trend at spot market on upsurge in demand.

Besides, tight stocks position on restricted supplies from major producing regions fulled the uptrend.

At the Multi Commodity Exchange, mentha oil for delivery in April month moved up by Rs 4.10, or 0.49% to Rs 836.80 per kg in business turnover of 167 lots.

On similar lines, the oil for delivery in far-month May contracts traded higher by Rs 4, or 0.48% to Rs 846 per kg in 46 lots.
 
Analysts said besides pick up in demand from consuming industries in the spot market, tight stocks positins on restricted supplies from producing regions kept mentha oil prices higher at futures trade.
