Mentha oil gains by 0.7% on high demand

Speculators engaged in enlarging positions amid rising demand from consuming industries in the spot market

Mentha oil rose by 0.75% to Rs 802.60 per kg in futures trade today as speculators engaged in enlarging positions amid rising demand from consuming industries in the spot market.

At the Multi Commodity Exchange, mentha oil for delivery in March advanced by Rs 6, or 0.75%, to Rs 802.60 per kg in a business turnover of 242 lots.

Likewise, the oil for delivery in April gained Rs 6, or 0.74%, to Rs 813.60 per kg in 100 lots.

Analysts attributed the rise in mentha oil futures to rising demand from consuming industries at spot markets.
