Mentha oil prices were up by another 0.43 per cent to Rs 816 per kg in futures trading today as participants enlarged positions, taking positive cues from spot market on surging demand from consuming industries.
Restricted supplies from major producing regions of Chandausi in Uttar Pradesh further fuelled the uptrend.
At the Multi Commodity Exchange, mentha oil for delivery in far-month May rose by Rs 3.50, or 0.43 per cent to Rs 816 per kg in business turnover of 21 lots.

Similarly, the oil for delivery in April contracts traded higher by Rs 3.10, or 0.39 per cent to Rs 806.20 per kg in 140 lots.
Analysts said increasing of positions by traders on the back of rising demand from consuming industries in the spot markets against restricted supplies from producing regions mainly kept mentha oil prices higher at futures trade.
