Mentha oil futures rebound by 0.20% as demand picks up

Mentha oil prices recovered by 0.20 per cent to Rs 1,038 per kg in futures market today as speculators created fresh positions after uptick in demand from consuming industries in the spot market.

At the Multi Commodity Exchange, mentha oil for delivery in March went up by Rs 2.10, or 0.20 per cent, to Rs 1,038 per kg, in a business turnover of 27 lots.

Similarly, the oil for delivery in February traded higher by Rs 1.50, or 0.15 per cent, to Rs 1,028.60 per kg in 50 lots.

Analysts attributed the rise in mentha oil prices at futures trade to creating of fresh positions by traders, driven by pick up in demand from consuming industries, mainly led to the rise in mentha oil prices at futures trade.
