Press Trust of India New Delhi
Amid pick up in demand at domestic spot market and restricted supplies from producing regions, mentha oil prices were up by 0.25% to Rs 888.30 per kg in futures market today.

At the Multi Commodity Exchange, mentha oil for delivery in February edged up by Rs 2.20, or 0.25% to Rs 888.30 per kg in a business turnover of 22 lots.

On similar lines, the oil for delivery in January traded higher by Re 1, or 0.11% to Rs 876.30 per kg in 59 lots.

Analysts said fresh positions built up by speculators after pick up in demand from consuming industries in the spot market against restricted supplies from Chandausi in Uttar Pradesh led to the rise in mentha oil prices at futures trade.
