Press Trust of India New Delhi
Mentha oil prices moved down by 0.47 per cent to 1,040 per kg in futures trading today as traders trimmed their positions, taking negative cues from spot market on subdued demand from consuming industries.

At the Multi Commodity Exchange, mentha oil for delivery in current month fell by Rs 4.90, or 0.47 per cent to Rs 1,040 per kg in business turnover of 159 lots.

Similarly, the oil for delivery in March contracts was trading lower by Rs 4.20, or 0.40 per cent to Rs 1,047.50 per kg in business turnover of 59 lots.

Analysts said offloading of positions by participants owing to weak demand from consuming industries in spot market against adequate stocks position, mainly attributed the fall in mentha oil prices at futures trade.
