Mentha oil falls by 1.4% on profit-booking

Adequate stock position in the physical market on higher arrivals from producing belts also hastened the downtrend

Press Trust of India New Delhi
Amid profit-booking at prevailing levels and fall in demand, mentha oil prices were down 1.36% to Rs 1,020 per kg in futures trading today.

Besides, adequate stock position in the physical market on higher arrivals from producing belts hastened the downtrend.

At Multi Commodity Exchange, mentha oil for delivery in August moved down Rs 14.10, or 1.36%, to Rs 1,020 per kg in a business turnover of 150 lots.

Similarly, oil prices for delivery in July contracts traded lower by Rs 13.10, or 1.29%, to Rs 1,002.40 per kg in 379 lots.

Marketmen attributed the fall to profit-booking by speculators at the existing levels and fall in demand from consuming industries in the spot market.
