Mentha oil up 0.1% on spot demand

Oil for delivery in May traded higher by 60 paise, or 0.07%

Press Trust of India New Delhi
Mentha oil traded marginally up by 0.13% to Rs 844 per kg in futures trade after speculators created positions, driven by pick-up in spot demand from consuming industries.

At the Multi Commodity Exchange, mentha oil for delivery in June edged up by Rs 1.10, or 0.13%, to Rs 844 per kg in a business turnover of 16 lots.

Similarly, the oil for delivery in May traded higher by 60 paise, or 0.07%, to Rs 834.20 per kg in 170 lots.

Analysts said fresh positions built-up by speculators after pick-up in demand from consuming industries in the spot markets against tight supplies from producing region mainly influenced mentha oil prices at futures trade.
