Mentha oil prices drifted down by 0.11 per cent to Rs 1,314.60 per kg in futures trade today as speculators tightened exposure amid subdued demand from consuming industries in the domestic spot market.

Furthermore, ample stocks on higher supplies from major producing regions of Chandausi in Uttar Pradesh weighed.

At Multi Commodity Exchange, mentha oil for delivery in November declined by Rs 1.40, or 0.11 per cent, to Rs 1,314.60 per kg in a business turnover of 415 lots.

Analysts said offloading of positions by participants due to easing demand from consuming industries in the physical market against ample stock position on increased supplies mainly influenced mentha oil prices in futures trade.
