Mentha oil prices surged 0.71 per

cent to Rs 1,155.10 per kg in futures market today after participants raised their bets on rise in demand from consuming industries.

At the Multi Commodity Exchange, mentha oil for delivery in June rose Rs 8.20, or 0.71 per cent, to Rs 1,155.10 per kg, clocking a business volume of 104 lots.

The oil for this month delivery traded higher by Rs 6.80, or 0.52 per cent up, at Rs 1,296.70 per kg with a trading volume of 185 lots.
