Mentha oil rises by 0.5% on spot demand

Restricted arrivals from producing regions also supported the uptrend

Press Trust of India New Delhi
Mentha oil prices were up by 0.46% to Rs 683.90 per kg in futures market today today largely supported by rising demand in the spot markets.

Restricted arrivals from producing regions also supported the uptrend.

At the Multi Commodity Exchange, mentha oil for delivery in August gained Rs 3.10, or 0.46% to Rs 683.90 per kg in business turnover of 25 lots.

Similarly, the oil for delivery in September up by Rs 2.60, or 0.38% to Rs 694.90 per kg in 110 lots.

Market Analysts said fresh positions built up by speculators on the back of pick-up in demand from consuming industries in the spot market against restricted arrivals from Chandausi in Uttar Pradesh, led to the rise in mentha oil prices at futures trade.
