Press Trust of India New Delhi
Mentha oil futures prices today rose by 0.43% to Rs 676.60 per kg as traders created fresh positions, driven by pick-up in demand in spot market.

Increasing demand from exports and limited supplies from the producing areas also influenced mentha oil prices.

At the Multi Commodity Exchange, mentha oil for delivery in September gained Rs 2.90, or 0.43%, to Rs 676.60 per kg, with a trading volume of 167 lots.

Similarly, the oil for delivery in October edged up by Rs 2.60, or 0.37%, to Rs 686.90 per kg, with a business turnover of 27 lots.

Marketmen said a firming trend at the spot markets amid restricted supplies from Chandausi in Uttar Pradesh, mainly influenced mentha oil prices at futures trade here.
