Menthol prices went up by Rs 5 per kg at the wholesale market in the national capital today on the back of upsurge in demand from consuming industries.
However, other chemicals held steady in thin trade. Traders said, improved demand from consuming industries against restricted arrivals from producing regions, mainly pushed up menthol prices.
Menthol bold crystal, flake and oil prices were up by Rs 5 each to Rs 1,725, Rs 1,585 and Rs 1,415 per kg respectively.
