The largest luxe carmaker Mercedes-Benz India today strengthened it SUV portfolio by launching a new variant of its volume grosser GLA Class at a price that's lower than up to 4 per cent from the pre-GST tag.
Price of the 2-litre petrol model of the new five-seater GLA Class d 200 begins from Rs 30.65 lakh and goes up to Rs 36.75 lakh for the 2.2 liter 4 Matic diesel variant.
Mercedes-Benz India sales & marketing vice-president Michael Jopp said the vehicle is available for sale from today and the prices are uniform across the states following the introduction of the new uniform tax regime.

The NGC is its biggest volume contributor with over 13,000 units on the roads and within the segment, the GLA Class leads in volume.
The new GLA Class, rolled out from its Chakan plant is the seventh model launched this year, out of the over a dozen planned for the year, Jopp said.
The new GLA also comes with a service package that includes unlimited mileage warranty for Rs 49,000 for two years for the petrol models and Rs 63,000 for the diesel models, Jopp said.
"Ever since its launch in 2014, the GLA remains a key product in our portfolio as it has been an outright winner in its segment carving a special place for itself. The top of the line GLA 220 d 4MATIC comes with permanent all-wheel drive system," he added.
Since 1994 Mercedes has been pioneering the luxury car market in the country and 2009 it has started local assembly at Chakan near Pune. The 20,000 units per annum plant now rolls out nine models including the Maybach S 500, S-Class, E-Class, C-Class, CLA luxury sedans and the GLA, GLE and the GLS luxury SUVs.
Its imported portfolio includes the A-Class, B-Class, CLS, E-Class Cabriolet, S-Class Coupe, C-Class Cabriolet, S- Class Cabriolet and the S 600 Guard and a range of other Guard vehicles, a slew of performance models from its AMG stable.
