Mercury below 40 degrees in Delhi

Hot weather persisted in Delhi even as mercury remained below the 40-degree mark giving some respite to people for the second day in a row.

According to MeT department, the day temperature settled at 38.7 degree Celsius which was one notch below normal, while the minimum temperature was recorded at 26 degrees Celsius, a notch above normal.

Humidity levels oscillated between 42 and 72 per cent during the day.

Yesterday the temperatures were recorded 39.8 and 28.3 degrees Celsius respectively.

According to MeT forecast, sky will be partly cloudy tomorrow with light rain and thunderstorm in some areas.

"The maximum and minimum temperatures are expected to hover around 39 and 25 degrees respectively," the weatherman said.
