In Haryana, Hisar and Karnal recorded maximum at 35.5 deg C and 32 deg C, dipping by upto 3 notches below normal, the Met office said here.
Narnaul recorded sharp drop in mercury as it settled at 29.3 deg C, going down by 8 degrees below normal. Rohtak, Bhiwani and Ambala had a highs of 32.7 deg C, 32.8 deg C and 35.8 deg C respectively.
The capital of both the states, Chandigarh recorded maximum at 35 deg C.
However, Amritsar in Punjab witnessed mercury going up by three notches above normal and settled at 37.6 deg C. Patiala and Ludhiana had a highs of 35.1 deg C and 34.9 deg C.
The Met office has forecast moderate to heavy rain or thundershowers at several places in the two states over the Haryana in next two days.
