Mercury dips below normal in Delhi after overnight showers

The mercury stayed below normal today in the national capital after a spell of rain and thundershowers over the weekend brought relief to the people from the sweltering heat.

The maximum temperature was recorded at 36.4 degrees Celsius, four notches below normal while the minimum settled at 21.4 degrees, six points below normal.

According to the MeT department, the city received 12.6-mm rainfall between 8:30 A.M. Yesterday till 8.30 A.M. Today. There was no rainfall thereafter till evening today and humidity in air oscillated between 37 per cent and 83 per cent.

The weatherman has predicted partially cloudy skies tomorrow which are likely to clear later on during the day.
 

The maximum and minimum temperatures tomorrow are expected to be around 39 and 24 degrees, respectively.
