Mercury dips in Rajasthan, Churu coldest at 4.5 deg C

Rajasthan's Churu experienced the season's coldest night yesterday with a minimum temperature of 4.5 degrees Celsius.

According to the MeT department, mercury further dipped by one to three degrees Celsius today with northerly winds sweeping across the state.

Mount Abu also experienced cold night yesterday with a minimum of 6 degrees Celsius. Ganganagar recorded a minimum of 7.3 degrees, followed by Pilani at 7.8 degrees.

Jaipur's minimum temperature further dipped from 13 degrees to 11.5 degrees Celsius.

According to a MeT forecast, cold wind may further cause mercury to fall in the state in the next 24 hours.
