Mercury hovers above normal in Delhi

Mercury hovered above normal level in the capital today with the maximum temperature settling four points above the season's average at 28.3 degrees Celsius.

The maximum temperature was recorded at 28.3 degrees Celsius while the minimum stood at 15.2 degrees, said MeT department officials.

Both the maximum and minimum stood four notches above the season's average.

Even yesterday, the maximum temperature settled four notches above normal at 29.1 degrees Celsius while the minimum was recorded seven notches higher than the season's average at 18.5 degrees.

There was no rain throughout the day and humidity in air oscillated between 91 and 51 per cent.
 

The MeT department predicted mainly clear sky becoming partly cloudy sky from afternoon onwards.

"The skies will mainly be clear tomorrow and could be partly cloudy in the afternoon. There will be mist or shallow fog in the morning. The maximum and minimum temperatures are expected to hover at 28 and 16 degrees Celsius respectively," according to the MeT forecast.
