Mercury plummeted in parts of Rajasthan today with Churu in plains recording a minimum of 0.8 degree Celsius and Pilani shivering at 1.3 degrees Celsius.
Normal life affected in other areas too where cold conditions aggravated.
Sikar, Phalodi, Vanasthali, Sriganganagar and Bikaner recorded night temperature of 2, 2.5, 2.7, 3 and 4.7 degrees Celsius, respectively, according to the MeT office here.

Night temperatures dipped in remaining areas also including the state Capital where people shivered at 5 degrees Celsius.
The mercury settled between 5.7 and 9.9 degrees Celsius in other stations.
Meanwhile, North Western Railway rescheduled Jodhpur-Varanasi train while nine others including Howrah-Jodhpur/Bikaner and Varanasi-Jodhpur are running late due to fog in the northern region.
