Mercury remains within comfortable range in Delhi

The mercury today remained within comfortable range in the national capital even as the humidity level shot upto 87 per cent causing discomfort to Delhiites.

The maximum temperature recorded was 30.4 degrees Celsius, three notches below the season's average while the minimum settled at 19.6 degrees, normal for this time of the year, said MeT department officials.

On the lower side, the humidity in the air was recorded at 52 per cent.

The weatherman has predicted overcast conditions for tomorrow.

"The skies will be partly cloudy. The maximum and minimum temperatures are likely to hover around 31 and 19 degrees Celsius respectively," the weatherman said.
 

The city did not receive any rainfall today.

Yesterday, remnants of the cyclone Hudhud over India's east coast had pulled the mercury significantly down leading to sporadic showers in the capital.

The maximum temperature yesterday settled four notches below the season's average at 29 degrees Celsius while the minimum was recorded as 21.8.
