Mercury rises by a few notches in Raj

Mercury rose by a few notches across Rajasthan with Kota recording a maximum temperature of 42.3 degree Celsius.

Mercury has risen by one to three degree C at many places with dry weather conditions prevailing in the state, the report said.

There was no rainfall in the state since morning however dust storm did occur in Jaipur, Kota, and Bikaner division in last 24 hours.

Churu recorded the maximum temperature of 41.5, Pilani 41.2, Jaipur 40.9, Bikaner 40.5, Barmer 40.1, Ganganagar 40, and Jaisalmer 39.7 degree C.

Dust and thunder storms with rain may occur at isolated places in the state in next 24 hours, a forecast said.
