The mercury witnessed an upward trend in Himachal Pradesh by rising four to eight degree despite rains lashing several places in mid and lower hills.
According to the MeT department, Nagrota Suryan in Kangra was the wettest with 90 mm rains followed by Renuka, Nahan and Rajgarh in Sirmaur district with 86 mm, 81 mm and 78 mm of rains respectively.
Dharmpur received 74 mm, Jubbarhatti 73 mm, Kasauli 72 mm, Kahu 68 mm, Bislaspur 56 mm, Solan 52 mm, Jhandutta 46 mm, Berthin 45 mm, Shimla and Mashobra 41 mm, Dharmshala 38 mm, Sunnibajji 37 mm, Sangrah 36 mm, Una Nadaun 35 mm and Gohar 34 mm of rains.

Shimla recorded 23.4 deg C while Nahan and Solan recorded a high of 30.4 deg C and 28.5 deg C against 25.6 deg and 23.0 deg C yesterday. Dharamshala and Kalpa recorded maximum day temperatures at 27.6 deg C and 19.8 deg C.
However, minimum temperatures remained below normal with Una recording a low of 20.8 deg C followed by Dharamsala and Sundernagar with 20.4 deg C and 2.3 deg C respectively.
Nahan recorded minimum temperature at 15.0 degree seven degrees below normal. Shimla and Manali recorded a low of 13.6 deg C and 14.0 deg C, a drop of three degrees.
The local MeT office has predicted rains and thundershowers in the state during the next four days and heavy rains at some places in lower hills tomorrow.
